Honor Metal Successfully Completes Installation and Commissioning of Two-Stage Filter Box for Middle East CCR Line Project

The installation and commissioning process took approximately 20 days and was completed smoothly. Our engineers have now safely returned to China after successfully finishing the project.

Electric Heating Two-Stage Filter Box Designed for Efficient Molten Aluminum Filtration
The Electric Heating Two-Stage Filter Box supplied for this project features a dual-stage filtration design with three chambers and a straight-through flow configuration. The operating side for degassing and filtration is arranged on the same side, making daily operation and maintenance more convenient.
The equipment is specifically designed for online molten aluminum filtration. Molten aluminum passes through preheated ceramic foam filter plates, effectively removing oxide inclusions and other non-metallic impurities while ensuring a more uniform metal flow to improve casting quality.
To ensure long-term reliability, Honor Metal equips the electrical control system with core components from Siemens, including circuit breakers and AC contactors, together with Schneider intermediate relays. Combined with the automatic temperature control system, these premium components provide stable operation, high safety, and precise temperature control.
High Performance for Continuous Aluminum Casting Production
The Electric Heating Two-Stage Filter Box adopts a single-channel dual-stage filtration structure equipped with standard 17-inch ceramic foam filter plates. It is capable of meeting continuous casting capacities of 7–15 tons per hour and is suitable for online molten aluminum filtration at temperatures of 700–760°C.
The equipment features a three-chamber design with an electric heating insulation system. The preheating system raises the temperature from ambient to 700°C within 24 hours, achieving an average heating rate of 10°C per hour with molten aluminum and 20°C per hour without molten aluminum.
The lining is integrally sintered using high-strength refractory castable specially developed for aluminum alloy applications. It offers excellent thermal shock resistance, high hot strength, resistance to aluminum penetration and erosion, and a normal service life exceeding 12 months. The insulation layer is made of nano insulation boards with low thermal conductivity, while the cover adopts a 6 mm steel shell lined with high-density fiber boards and silicon carbide heating elements to ensure efficient and reliable preheating.
