Honor Metal 15000T UPWARD CONTINUOUS CASTING SYSTEM FOR COPPER ROD Shipment Update

Project Shipment Progress and Quality Control
Honor Metal is pleased to announce that the 15000T upward continuous casting line for copper rod, ordered by our Middle East customer, has officially entered the transportation stage. This marks a key phase in project delivery and demonstrates our strong capability in copper processing and copper Rod Production.
During the manufacturing and shipment process, our quality team strictly controlled key procedures including machining accuracy, assembly quality, electrical testing, and factory inspection to ensure full compliance with international standards and upward continuous casting requirements. The equipment is currently in transit, and we will continue to monitor logistics progress and provide timely updates to ensure safe and on-time delivery.

Process Technology and Production Capacity
This line is mainly used for producing oxygen-free copper rods through the upward continuous casting process. Electrolytic copper plates are melted, deoxidized, and refined in a power frequency Induction Furnace. The molten copper is then cooled into rods through a crystallizer, continuously drawn by the casting system, and coiled into finished products.
With an average annual operating time of 7,920 hours, the production line achieves a capacity of 15,000 tons and can produce φ16, 20, 25, and 30 mm Copper Rods. The system adopts a combined furnace design (1 melting, 1 transition, 1 holding) to ensure stable and continuous production.
Drive System and Take-Up Configuration
The upward continuous casting line adopts an AC servo motor drive, combined with precision planetary gear reducers and rigid couplings. Gapless synchronous gear transmission ensures stable traction and accurate control of speed and tension during casting.
The line is equipped with 10 sets of φ16–30 double-head take-up machines arranged in a two-layer layout, enabling simultaneous collection of up to 20 coils, significantly improving production efficiency.
Electrical System and Automation
The production line is equipped with a comprehensive monitoring and alarm system, including Induction Furnace control, operation status indication, fault alarms, safety protection, and electrical interlocking functions, ensuring safe and stable operation.
Key electrical components include Siemens motors, PLC systems, and HMI touch screens, combined with high-quality Chinese brand components to achieve an optimal balance between performance and cost.
Automatic Feeding System and Service Support
The project includes an electrolytic copper plate automatic feeding system consisting of a column robot, dual feeders, and a buffer storage area. The system automatically handles and feeds copper plates into the furnace, improving operational safety and automation.
Honor Metal also provides a one-year spare parts, complete installation drawings, and operation manuals, along with on-site installation and commissioning support. A detailed installation and commissioning plan is currently being prepared to ensure smooth project startup.
The successful shipment of the 15000T upward continuous casting line for copper rod demonstrates Honor Metal’s strong capabilities in equipment design, manufacturing, and project delivery. We will continue to provide professional installation, commissioning, and long-term technical support to ensure stable and efficient operation, while further strengthening our presence in the global copper processing industry.
