Crystallization wheel is a key component in the copper rod and aluminum rod continuous casting and rolling production line. Its working principle is to pour the copper liquid and aluminum liquid which reach the specified temperature into the continuous rotating crystallization wheel groove, and then crystallize and form the casting billet under the continuous pouring of internal and external cooling water. And then the billet will enter into the rolling machine to be rolled into the rod meeting the requirements.
The quality of the crystallization wheel directly determines whether the copper rod and aluminum rod production line can achieve high quality and high yield, so it should have good fatigue resistance, heat resistance and wear resistance.
To ensure long service life and optimal billet formation, the wheel is manufactured with precise groove geometry, uniform cooling design, and surface treatment technology that resists scaling and deformation during high-temperature casting.
It plays a vital role in stabilizing billet dimensions and surface quality, making it a cornerstone of efficient, high-yield casting processes.
Common material for crystallization wheel: pure copper, chromium zirconium copper.
