Introduction

Graphite die is mainly used in the continuous up casting of copper tubes, copper rods, and copper strips. It features low porosity, low air permeability, high strength, excellent thermal conductivity, and a very smooth surface (Ra≤0.08), ensuring cast products with smooth appearance and without cracks or air holes. Compared with standard graphite products, it offers a significantly longer service life and more stable casting performance.

The graphite cup is manufactured and machined by our company using high-quality graphite raw materials imported from Germany’s SGL Group. The premium German graphite material provides excellent density, thermal stability, wear resistance, and mechanical strength, ensuring reliable operation under high-temperature continuous casting conditions.

The graphite die is produced through a series of advanced processing procedures and can be formed by cold molding or cold isostatic pressing. Advanced high-tonnage isostatic pressing technology ensures a uniform, dense, and high-strength structure. Optional surface coating treatment can further extend service life, improve casting surface quality, and enhance production efficiency.

In addition, the specially designed graphite protective sleeve helps further improve durability during operation. When cathode copper plates are used as the raw material, the graphite mold system can typically support 2 to 3 mold replacements, with an overall service life of approximately 15 days. Under normal operating conditions, the graphite mold itself usually maintains a service life of 5 to 7 days, effectively reducing maintenance frequency and production downtime.
