Introduction

This production line produces round aluminum rods and aluminum alloy rods for electricians by adopting the technology of continuous casting and rolling.

The diameter of finished aluminum rod is Φ9.5mm, Φ12.5mm, Φ15mm.

This line has the advantages of high efficiency, low energy consumption, excellent quality of aluminum/aluminum alloy rods and so on.

Production Process

Aluminum ingot/molten aluminum → batching → refining → slag removal → stewing → online refining → filtration → continuous casting → power straightening → traction → cut → casting blank transition support device → induction heating device (the heating furnace includes a closed cooling device, which is optional) → rough rolling → finish rolling → aluminum/aluminum alloy rod.

The horizontal continuous casting process effectively minimizes slag formation while ensuring a consistent flow of molten aluminum. An induction heater precisely controls the temperature of the cast billet, preparing it for the subsequent rolling process.

The continuous rolling mill is equipped with automated features for rod stacking, parking, and feeding. The system includes an in-line quenching device for continuous cooling and a water blowing mechanism at the take-up exit to remove surface moisture from the finished aluminum and aluminum alloy rods. An active traction system ensures smooth and uninterrupted rod export.

To prevent surface abrasion, the arc guide tube features a roller guide structure. Rods are coiled using a centrifugal shaking head method. Before entering the take-up frame, an optional pre-deforming step can be performed. In the event of a rod break, the system automatically repositions the tail of the broken rod into the take-up frame. A continuous double-bobbin coiler is utilized for winding, allowing for uninterrupted operation during bobbin changes.
